This statement explains how IAN S handles personal data when you visit this website or get in touch about a booking, collaboration or other enquiry.
Who is responsible?
IAN S, based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, is responsible for the processing described in this statement. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@deejayians.com.
Data processed
If you contact IAN S, the following information may be processed:
- your name and email address;
- the contents of your message and event or booking details;
- any other information you choose to provide;
- technical data, such as an IP address, that may appear in security and server logs maintained by the hosting provider.
The contact form does not send information to a website database. It opens your own email application with a prepared message. The information is only transmitted when you choose to send that email.
Purposes and legal bases
Contact and booking information is used to answer enquiries, discuss or perform bookings and collaborations, maintain relevant administration and protect the website. Processing is based on taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement, performing an agreement, complying with legal obligations, or the legitimate interests of communicating with contacts and keeping the website secure.
Retention
General enquiries that do not lead to an agreement are deleted no later than 24 months after the last contact, unless there is a valid reason to keep them longer. Information connected to an agreement, invoice, dispute or legal obligation is retained only for the applicable statutory period. Technical logs are retained according to the hosting provider's security settings and no longer than necessary to operate and protect the website.
Sharing and international transfers
Personal data is not sold. It may be processed by service providers needed for email, hosting, security or administration. These providers may only use the information to provide their services and must protect it appropriately. If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards required by applicable privacy law will be used.
Cookies and local storage
This website does not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. It stores one functional preference in your browser's local storage: ian-s-theme. This remembers whether you selected the light or dark colour mode. It is not used to identify or follow you and remains on your device until you remove your browser data.
No consent banner is shown because the website does not currently place tracking or other non-essential cookies. This will be reassessed before analytics, advertising technology or embedded third-party media is added.
Local fonts and external links
The website's fonts are stored locally and are served from the same website. Loading a page therefore does not contact Google Fonts. Links to Instagram, SoundCloud and YouTube only connect you to those services after you choose to open a link. Their own privacy terms then apply.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Send a request to info@deejayians.com. Additional information may be requested when reasonably necessary to verify your identity.
You also have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Changes
This statement may be updated when the website or its data processing changes. The date above shows when it was last revised.
